West Lothian singer Susan Boyle posed up with Donny Osmond after his performance at the Edinburgh Playhouse.
The 63-year-old, who shot to fame in 2009 following her appearance on the third series of Britain’s Got Talent, decided to take in a showing of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Donny is starring in the show and will be performing in the capital throughout December. Describing Susan Boyle as a “dear friend”, the pair met up in the foyer after his performance.
He wrote on Instagram: “It was so nice to see my dear friend @susanboylemusic at the official opening night of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat here in Scotland.”
The US heart-throb has been met with hundreds of fans outside the venue throughout his theatre run. On December 9, fans swarmed the stage door entrance ahead of Donny making an appearance to meet everyone after the show.
In several videos posted on social media, the group started singing happy birthday to Donny to celebrate his big day. In complete shock, he thanked everybody and started filming his devoted fans to remember the moment.
Over the weeks, many people have shared their excitement on social media about Donny being in the capital. One fan who saw his performance said: “Saw him in Joseph on Saturday night. He was fabulous as the Pharaoh.”
Another person said: “He looks so happy and sweet.”
