She’s sold over 25 million albums, topped charts around the world, and become a household name — but Susan Boyle has never let fame change one thing: her address. While other stars splurge on sprawling mansions and designer penthouses, Susan still lives in the modest £65,000 ex-council house in Blackburn, West Lothian, where she was born and raised. After 61 years, this unassuming brick bungalow has become more than just a home — it’s her sanctuary, her statement, and her “wee retreat” from the chaos of celebrity life.
SHE rose to fame in 2009 when she appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and wowed the judges with her incredible singing voice.
But despite going on to sell more than 25 million albums worldwide and becoming a millionaire, Susan Boyle, 61, still lives in the same house she grew up in.

The former council house in Blackburn, West Lothian is certainly modest considering her estimated £22 million fortune, but the most important thing to Susan is the memories.
Speaking to OK!, she said: “It’s to do with the memories of your house and your upbringing, you need to take stock of things and maybe see where you come from and where your roots lie.
“It’s best to be grounded and with your roots. It keeps you grounded and prevents you from saying things maybe you shouldn’t say.”
That doesn’t mean Susan hasn’t spent a bit of her money on transforming the property, fitting it with a sleek, modern kitchen and a cosy living room.
The latter features large grey sofas and arm chairs as well as a fireplace surrounded by cat, rabbit and angel figurines.
With elegant grey and cream striped wallpaper, Susan has numerous family photographs on the walls as well as memorabilia from her career.
Susan has also kitted her home out with a music area, featuring a piano and numerous religious ornaments sitting along the top.
